Add an ingredient

Create stock you buy and cook with — not something the till sells.

In aPOS Ingredients → Add Ingredient

What this is

Add Ingredient is restaurant-only. It creates a Product with type Ingredient: purchasable, not on Sale New.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Ingredients → Add Ingredient.
  2. Enter Ingredient Name and Product Category.
  3. Set We keep stock in (g, ml, pcs).
  4. Enter purchase cost (no MRP).
  5. Save. Receive stock with Island Shop, Quick Purchase, or a Stock Run.

Example

Milk: unit ml, purchase pack = 1 L carton. Recipe on a latte uses 180 ml.
