What this is
The sidebar says Overtime. The screen title is Extra hours. This does not use Attendance.
Step-by-step
- Open Payroll → Overtime.
- For most days in a month, use Fill a month: pick who, the month, the extra hours, and how to pay (Weekday, Friday, or Entered amount). That creates one draft for each calendar day. Days that already have hours are skipped.
- Delete any day they did not work.
- Or save a single day: choose who, the date worked, and the extra hours.
- Approve all drafts, or Approve one day. Until you approve, the hours stay a draft and will not print.
- Put the person on a payroll run. The hours are added automatically. View PDF after Approve & lock.
After you save
Draft hours never print. Approved hours wait until that person is on a payroll. Once the run is locked they show as Included in payroll. To change them, Reopen the payroll first. You can Edit or Delete a day until it is on a payroll.
Common mistakes
- Leaving hours as a draft and wondering why the payslip has no overtime.
- Approving every filled day without Delete for days off.
- Entering extra hours on Attendance instead of Payroll → Overtime.
