Edit a product

Change name, prices, VAT, tracking, or photo on an existing product.

In aPOS Products → All Product

Edit from All Product. After the item exists, change on-hand qty with Manual Stock Update — not this form. Finished Products have a Recipe tab.

Editing a product from All Product.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Products → All Product and edit the row.
  2. Change identity, VAT, prices, or tracking.
  3. Restaurants: Item Type is what decides buy-vs-make. A Finished Product can keep purchase price at 0; cost comes from the recipe.
  4. Do not type a new on-hand qty here after the product exists — use Manual Stock Update.
  5. To change a kitchen card, open Recipe and enter quantities for one item (Recipe batch yield if the paper card is for a batch).
  6. Available online publishes this item on the public store and table QR menu. You can also flip it from the Online column on All Product.

Good to know

Turning tracking off does not delete history. Existing recipes already mean one item — do not bulk-rewrite them unless you meant to change the card.
