What this is
The till can show an item while the public menu does not. Available online is that switch. It is per product, for this shop only, and off by default. Same selling price as the till.
If Customer Ordering shows that the till has products but none are on the public menu, tap Use the till menu there to publish every sellable item at once.
Step-by-step
- Open Products → All Product.
- Use the Online availability filter (All, Online, or Offline) if you only want to audit the public menu.
- Flip the Online switch on the row. The public catalogue updates immediately.
- You can also tick Available online on the product add/edit form.
Daily Prep “show available only”
If Customer Ordering has Show only today’s available Daily Prep items on:
- Only online-enabled products that are on today’s open Daily Prep, with availability enforced and remaining qty, appear.
- Guests see how many are left today (for example “3 left today”).
- Missing, draft, closed, or cancelled prep means no prepared items online.
- Pending unaccepted guest orders hold qty so two phones cannot take the last portion.
Leave that setting off if the public menu should keep showing the usual online catalogue even when Daily Prep is closed.
Always show online on a category (Products → Category) keeps that group on the guest menu even when this Daily Prep filter is on. Turn it on for Coffee, Iced Tea, and other drinks that are not on the morning cook list.
Good to know
- Turning a product offline does not remove it from the till.
- Staff cannot add an offline (or exhausted Daily Prep) item through a quote or Place order.
- Modifiers on the product still apply on the guest menu when the item is online.
