QR table ordering

Guests scan the table QR, confirm they are here, and send the order to the outlet.

In aPOS Settings → Table Management

What this is

QR table ordering is dine-in from the guest phone. It uses the same public menu and GST as online ordering, then lands on the same Online Orders queue. After accept, the items go on that table’s open ticket.

Before you start

  1. Add tables in Table management.
  2. Turn QR table ordering on in Customer Ordering.
  3. On each table card, tap Enable QR, then Print QR (or Download QR). Stick it on the table.
  4. Recommended: Require guests to be at the outlet, pin the shop, and set a 30–200 m radius. aPOS never stores the guest’s coordinates.

What the guest does

  1. Sit down and scan the printed QR. That opens the menu for that seat.
  2. Confirm they are here if the shop asks (a modal, not a permanent card).
  3. Add items, then send to the outlet. From the same screen they can Call a waiter or Ask for the bill.
  4. If they move, tap Change table and scan the QR at the new table. The cart stays.

What staff do

The request appears on Online Orders with the table number. Accept it like any other guest order. The table strip on Create Sale shows occupancy. You can still propose item changes before accept — the guest confirms on their status page.

Good to know

  • Pause online orders does not stop table QR.
  • Social links stay in the top nav, not on the table card.
  • Presence is per session. Confirming a new table expires the old table’s guest session.
